Jannat – In search for heaven

Jannat the latest offering of Vishesh film is expect to be release in April, starring Emraan Hashmi and Sonal Chauhan.
The movie is the first one of Kunal Deshmukh who was assistant director to films like Kalyug, Wo Lamhe and Zeher. In
the movie Emraan Hashmi is a bookie and Sonal Chauhan is a struggling actress, who works for a call centre. Emraan
as a character of bookie looses some money after placing a bet and then the film revolves around the death of a cricket
coach. The film is about the life of bookie and his search for heaven, which are shown with some real cricket scenes.
The movie is shot in Mumbai and Capetown and lot of facts in the film are used from the Tehelka book called
“Fallen Heroes”. Initially Esha Deol was in the movie but she had to do lot of dance rehearsals for her
mother’s movie and could not continue in the movie. In the climax there is a hunt for a gold ring and on the sets
the entire crew would go mad hunting for it. Coming to the music of the film Pritam has done the music well but there is a
court case going on between T-Series and Vishesh films for music rights.
