Anuranan

Anuranan in Bengali means 'resonance' that is synchronization of tunes. The movie is story of two couples who struggles
to survive as a couple and as individuals. Tunes here mean human mentality. The film is about two couples Rahul Bose
and Rituparna Sen settled in London. They come back to India after Rahul’s transfer and Rituparna’s only
sadness in there relation is that not having there own child. And on the other side is another couple played by Rajat
Kapoor and Raima Sen. Here Rajat Kapoor is busy businessmen who compare everything with money and his wife finds
herself happy with her books. Rahul(Rahul Bose), Nandita(Rituparna sen), Preeti(Raima Sen) and Amit(Rajat kapoor)
are seen walking through life, each of them going through a different phase.
The movie appeared too much slow in the first half and director tried to sketch the character of Rahul with lots of patients
and analogies. This made the spectators quite impatient and the second half is better which shows how the two couples
get together and mingle with each other. Raima gets thin attraction towards Rahul who is of same mentality. Finally the
director ended the movie with a brilliant twist and the question arises in viewers mind that how much honest is the
character of Raima. The understanding between preeti and Nandita at the end of the story when their individual worlds
are broken to bits is good.
The movie is shot in London with some brilliant photography and have very beautiful portrayed relationships and the
sensitivity with which emotions have been captured is admirable.
