The movie Jodha Akbar directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar who is the maker of the oscar nominated film Laagan is a
historical love story. The roles of Jodha bhai and Akbar are played by Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan. Coming to the
movie you have not watch anything so magnificent like this movie after long time on the Hindi screen. With this movie we
can say that Ashutosh Gowarikar has lots of courage, skill, patience, aptitude, knowledge, passion and of course money.
It also requires your belief in the subject a belief to attempt a historical movie when historical movies are not given
importance in the industry.
Coming to the misconception regarding the movie, it is profane to compare Mughal-E-Azam and Jodhaa Akbar. Mughal-
E-Azam is a legendary romance between Salim and Anarkali which is quite a common subject attempted number of
times in the Hindi screen before whereas Jodhaa Akbar is relationship shared between young Akbar and Jodhaa bhai.
Totally Jodhaa Akbar leaves you in fascination and makes the legendary characters come alive on the screen. The prime
reason why Jodhaa Akbar works is because the present-day viewer is unaware of the romance between the great
emperor Akbar and the Rajput prince Jodhaa. Some instances that are splendid in the movie are the war sequence at
the beginning, Hrithik taming an out of control elephant, two pre-condition set by jodhaa before her marriage,
confrontation between IIa Arun and Ash at the kitchen when ash wants to make meal herself, the intermission point
which sows the seeds of misunderstanding between Hritik and Ash, the sword fight between Ash and Hrithik….
Jodhaa Akbar on the whole is without a doubt a brilliant film and this historical movie has all that proves the first
blockbuster.Very strongly recommended!
