Akkineni Nagarjuna introduces his nephew Sushanth to Tollywood with the film Kalidasu.Kalidasu is the story of an
orphan who is uneducated. Kalidasu (Sushanth) loses his father (Nagababu) at his childhood and he kills the killer of his
dad on the spot.
The boy runs away to Guntur where Jayasudha, a poor widow brings him up. Kalidasu starts stealing cars and sells them
to innocent people. He finds a girl Archana (Tamanna) in the dickey of a stolen car. Archana has a huge property and
villain kidnaps her to get her property. Kalidasu leaves to Hyderabad to get her back. At the end, he succeeds in his
mission.
On the whole Sushanth shows no signs of nervousness even though it is his first film. His acting skills are fair enough
Tamanna is okay in her role. Chakri’s music falls below expectations. Two songs are set to some fast music On the whole
the film is like any other mass masala film.
