Bujjigadu made in Chennai

Producer KS Rama Rao has delivered several blockbusters like Abhilasha, Challenge, Rakshasudu, Marana
Mrudangam, Criminal and Chanti with Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh. After long gap Creative
Commercials banner reentered with Bujjigadu. Puri set new records in Telugu cinema industry with his hattrick hits Pokiri,
Desamuduru and Chirutha. But this time he is failed to reach industry expectations. Prabhas has been waiting for mega
hit after Varsham. Puri has been pulled out good performance from Prabhas. Prabhas has delivered excellent
performance and ease as Bujjigadu. Unlike in his earlier films, Prabhas uttered his dialogues clearly in Eastgodavari
slang in comedy way. Prabhas appears with six pack and eye-catching look in Bujjigadu. Collection King Mohan Babu
has played as gangster Sivanna. Its central role in this film but there is no much weight in this role. After success of
Super movie, Sandeep Chowtha is back with Bujjigadu.
Story:
Bujji (Prabhas) and Chitti (Trisha) are neighbors and best friends. One day she is angry on him and asks not to talk for
about 12 years as he wipes out her sand temple. As he loves the girl very much he can’t stay at home and he
runs off Chennai. There he grows up as big fan of Rajinikanth. After 12 years he returns to Vizag to meet his childhood
Chitti.
In Vizag he gets arrested for a pretty crime and it leads to meet Machi Reddy. Sivanna is a gangster and enemy of Machi
Reddy. Machi Reddy wants to utilize Bujji as weapon to end Sivanna and he offers one crore rupees to Bujji. He reaches
Hyderabad and attacks Sivanna but unfortunately Sivanna men overpower bujji. Sivanna like Bujji’s guts and he
takes Bujji to his house. There Bujji comes to know Chitti is Sivanna’s sister. Later scenes, the two are join hands
to end Machi Reddy.
Analysis:
First half of the movie is good and entertaining and this is not continued till end of the movie. Prabhas characterization is
elevated his mass image and he delivers extraordinary performance. Kota Srinivas Rao, Subba Raju, Jayaprakash
Reddy, Brahmaji and Raja Ravindra have done justice for their roles. MS Narayana entertains as drunkard. There is
nothing to say about Trisha. Vijayan composition for fights is excellent. Ali role is boring but Sunil did well. Sandeep
Chowta music is ok. Prabhas calling everyone as ‘darling’ does not suit everywhere.
